What is Memoji? It’s a term I used, combining memo + emoji. I love tweets and everything short, hence, a memo. I also love emojis and using pictures and pictorials to illustrate, hence, emojis.
This is a little informal series within TOKYO BOUND blog posts on my website to just share short spontaneous updates of my journey.

☔ It rained really heavy today (oops posted this on the next day). So I couldn’t leave the house for work and worked from home. It was comfortable working from home but I headed to work there after.
🔥️️️️️️ I feel slightly fired up! I knew I had time to study and prepare before heading over but it is really harder than I thought, without the constant practice. I tried the Attain N5 Language school on Udemy but it is hard for me to remain focused after work. Hence, I have been on Duolingo to maintain streaks and consistency! I am on Day 131. My colleagues are also using WaniKani to study Kanji, watching Love Transit #ラブトランジット on Amazon Prime and listening to podcasts.
📝 I have been exploring ways during this time on how is best to archive or pen down my learning journey. Thought of this ‘Memoji’ idea for a while. Although I am meant to only start this ‘Memoji’ when I am in Tokyo, I just want to try it for now. Think of it as a trial run? I am also curious to see where this goes!
