Memoji #03 β˜€οΈπŸ’”πŸ€—

What is Memoji? It’s a term I used, combining memo + emoji. I love tweets and everything short, hence, a memo. I also love emojis and using pictures and pictorials to illustrate, hence, emojis.

This is a little informal series within TOKYO BOUND blog posts on my website to just share short spontaneous updates of my journey.

[Location: Singapore]

β˜€οΈ The weather was pretty sunny today but I managed to stay home most of the time.

πŸ’” I’ve been using the time to quickly say goodbye to my friends and it is honestly the first big step I have ever done for myself so I am feeling queasy. But I am feeling a lot more love and support than I thought I would. I met a few school professors and teachers as well. One of them even gave me a coin – Angel of Independence to celebrate my huge step!

I feel very thankful to have many kind people surrounding me.

πŸ€— Feeling many virtual hugs and a lot of warmth from friends who shared their own experiences and let me know it is perfectly okay and normal to run into issues with my accommodations.

  • One friend said it might be better to view the house myself as she recounts her move to Shanghai, China for one-year.

  • Another friend shared her relocation adventure when she moved from Romania to Dublin, Ireland. She was stressed and searching for two weeks. She was alone there. At least, I am comforted in knowing that I have a few friends when I go over. I remember one thing she said which was, β€œHey, it’s an adventure. No adventure is smooth-sailing. It’s about growth!” and I like that a lot.
